Fallbrook Engineering, Inc., to participate in the NIH-CAP
Fallbrook Engineering, Inc., has been selected to participate in the NIH Commercialization Assistance Program (NIH-CAP). This program is aimed at helping commercialize the UCB 1000 Cord Blood Collection Device, designed and developed through the SBIR research grants awarded to the company.
Richard Meyst, Fallbrook Engineering president, recently attended a one day kick off workshop hosted by NIH, Larta and the San Diego RTA. Meyst said “This first-of-its kind program by NIH is a real help for start up companies to bring their products to the health care market place. The NIH has been very helpful to us and it’s only through their assistance that our new stem cell collection system will soon be ready for market introduction. The workshop for Phase II SBIR companies was the first of a number of meetings to be held around the country. For information on this program, visit www.larta.org
