Another Fallbrook Engineering Success Story!

Following is an excerpt from a recent press release about a device that Fallbrook Engineering co-developed with its client/inventor.

Phoenix, Aug. 25/PRNewswire/via NewsEdge Corporation

Zila Pharmaceuticals, a division of Zila, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZILA), international provider of healthcare products and services for dental/medical professionals and consumers, announced it has acquired all rights to new patent-pending Pro-Ties™ elastomeric banding devices for ease in bundling dental or medical instruments for sterilization. Zila Chief Operating Officer Thomas M. Laughlin said the Company will begin marketing the product later this year.

Dental and medical instruments are routinely subjected to a rigorous sterilization process. Current bundling techniques typically require that instruments be reorganized at multiple stages in the process--requiring extra time and effort. ProTies solve this problem and improve office productivity.

Color-coded Pro-Ties are produced from medical-grade silicon, providing tolerance to challenging temperatures, pressure and chemicals found in all types of sterilizers. Pro-Ties, which stretches up to 300 percent, will replace "ponytail holders" and other devices that variously stretch out of shape, rust, breed bacteria or fail during the sterilizing process. "Surveys indicate that infection control is a top concern of dental professionals," Laughlin said. "Pro-Ties will help address that concern effectively and conveniently."

Laughlin added, "Pro-Ties are expected to perform well in its market niche, and will further extend Zila's marketing activity in the broader professional products arena, adding important incremental growth."
